TOTAL BODY COOLING PROGRAM
While maintaining a warm temperature is very important for premature infants, there are some term babies who benefit from a cooler body temperature. Term newborns who undergo hypoxic injury around the time of birth have been shown to benefit from total body cooling.
The Total Body Cooling (TBC) Program at was established in 2007 and has served almost 100 babies in the first 10 years.
