Rob Lerrigo, MD

Dr. Lerrigo received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He completed gastroenterology fellowship at the Stanford University Medical Center, where he served as chief fellow during his final year of training. He subsequently joined the division of gastroenterology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in 2019.​

    Dr. Lerrigo’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel diseases, specifically Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and fecal microbiota transplantation (stool transplant). He is also interested in general gastroenterology/hepatology, which includes such disorders as gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, fatty liver disease, and colon cancer prevention. Dr. Lerrigo considers himself a patient advocate and is involved in patient education initiatives. His research interests include digital health innovation and using technology to better communicate with and educate patients. Dr Lerrigo is passionate about medical education and serves as an instructor for the Stanford gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents from Stanford and Santa Clara Valley Medical Centers. He is a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy​.

    ​Dr. Lin graduated from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and then completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford University. He then did his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California at Irvine where he was selected as a chief fellow, working with leadership on curriculum, program structure, recruitment, and scheduling. He also received specialized motility training at Washington University in St. Louis under the auspices of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. ​


    Jason Williams, MD MPH

    ​Dr. Williams received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University and also obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is board certified in Gastroenterology.

      ​Dr. Williams joined Santa Clara Valley Medical Center's Gastroenterology Division in 2011.  He practices general gastroenterology but has specific interests in colon cancer, chronic liver disease, medical informatics, quality improvement within healthcare as well as preventive care. Dr. Williams has several publications within his areas of interest and has presented his research at national meetings. A few of his honors include being selected as a Duke University Scholar, a Duke University Hospital Service Champion Award as well as a Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Customer Service Award.​


      Northcutt Michael, MD

       

      Michael Northcutt, MD

      Dr. Northcutt received his undergraduate degree from Kenyon College and earned his M.D. from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati and gastroenterology fellowship at the combined University of Chicago/NorthShore program where he also served as co-Chief Fellow during his final year of training.

        Dr. Northcutt joined the Division of Gastroenterology for Santa Clara County Health System in 2022 after starting his career in group practice. He is board certified in Gastroenterology. He practices general gastroenterology but maintains specific interest in colon cancer prevention, gastrointestinal bleeding, functional GI disorders, inflammatory bowel diseases, and quality improvement. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.


        Chandra, Piyanka, MD

         

        Chandra, Piyanka, MD

        Dr. Chandra received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed her internal medicine residency at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. She then completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the California Pacific Medical Center.  She is board certified in gastroenterology.  

          After finishing her gastroenterology fellowship, she joined the Division of Gastroenterology at the County of Santa Clara Health System.  She practices general gastroenterology but has specific interests in chronic liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel diseases, colon cancer prevention, quality improvement, and medical education. 


          ANNIE DING, NP

           

          ANNIE DING, NP 

          ​Annie Ding is a nurse practitioner at VSC Gastroenterology who has been part of the team since 2016. Her journey at SCVMC began in high school, when she spent time as a volunteer in the gift shop, and eventually as a volunteer in the burn center. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from Columbia University in the City of New York.

            ​Prior to joining VSC Gastroenterology, Annie worked in in private practice Primary Care. In her free time, she enjoys being physically active, spending time with her friends and family, and making ice cream.


            MICHELLE TOSCANO, PA MPH

             

            MICHELLE TOSCANO, PA MPH 

            ​Michelle Toscano a physician assistant with the division of gastroenterology and hepatology. She received both an MSPAS and MPH from Touro University. She has previously worked in a variety of settings, with particular experience in women's health and Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Michelle is fluent in Spanish.​
