Our Doctors & Staff
The Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Burn Center utilizes a patient centered, multi-disciplinary, team-oriented approach to patient care. Heading the team are Burn surgeons who also specialize ein plastic and reconstructive surgery. Physicians and surgeons from other specialties, Burn Specialty trained nurses, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, dieticians, social workers and case managers complete the team.
Nurses, therapists, and physicians at our Burn Center have taken approved Advanced Burn Life Support courses* and many are instructors as well. These courses provide our staff the skills and knowledge to assess and manage patients with serious burns during the critical first 24 hours after their injuries. Because of their ability and expertise, the staff of the SCVMCBurn Centersaves lives.
