Pharmacy Services
As part of the Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) system, we serve patients from both our own healthcare system and outside providers. Our 16 pharmacy locations are conveniently located in SCVH hospitals and clinics, providing affordable, high-quality care to everyone in Santa Clara County, no matter their ability to pay.
Prescriptions
SCVH Pharmacy Services has direct access to your care team and medication history to ensure coordinated medical care for all residents of Santa Clara County. We fill over two million prescriptions per year and have an average wait time of less than 30 minutes across all our locations.
Free Mail Order Prescriptions
Did you know you can get most of your medications refilled without visiting a pharmacy location? All you have to do is ask for your prescriptions to be mailed to your home at your doctor’s visit, using the 24-hour refill line, or through the myHealth Online portal. Make sure we have the right address and phone number on file so that we can mail your medication within five to seven working days.
Refill Services
You can refill your prescriptions and check their status by visiting any SCVH pharmacy location, calling the 24/7 automated telephone refill line, or using myHealth Online. Here’s how each option works:
24/7 Telephone Refill Line
Manage your prescription refills anytime through our 24/7 automated telephone refill line. This service offers support in multiple languages and options for prescription pickup or mail order delivery.

Step 1) Select your language preference:
Press 1 for English
Press 2 for Spanish
Press 3 for Vietnamese
Press 4 for Chinese
Step 2) To manage your prescription:
Press 1 to refill your prescription.
Press 2 to check your refill status.
Step 3) Enter your prescription number and press #.
Press 1 to confirm the prescription number.
Press 1 to confirm your last name.
Enter your 8-digit date of birth. (Example: “January 3rd, 1977” would be 01031977.)
Press 1 to confirm your date of birth.
Step 4) Choose your delivery option:
Press 1 to pick up your prescription.
Press 2 to have your prescription mailed.
Step 5) Listen for details about your refill, including pickup locations, date, time, and mailing address.
Press 2 to submit your final request.
Remember to ask for a refill before running out of medicine. It takes approximately two business days to fill prescriptions. If you choose our free prescription mail order service, it should arrive in about seven business days.
myHealth Online
To submit a prescription refill using myHealth Online:
- Click "Medications/Refills" at the top of the home page or the "Medications" icon in the mobile app.
- From the medication list, click "Request Refills."
- Check the box next to the medication you want to refill and click "Next."
- If applicable, select your delivery method, pharmacy location, and pickup date and time. Then, click "Next."
- Review your refill request and click "Submit."
You will receive a notification when your refill is processed if notifications are enabled.
MediFill® Automatic Refills
The MediFill® Refill Service makes managing your medications easy by automatically requesting a refill for your prescriptions when they are due. The service is completely free and simple to sign up by talking to a staff member at any SCVH pharmacy location.
Pickup by Authorized Person
If someone else needs to pick up your prescription on your behalf, please follow these steps:
- The person picking up your prescription must have their identification and your medical record number or other information to verify your identity.
- You, the prescription owner, must provide a note with your name and the name of the person who will pick up your medication. For example: “I, [Your name], allow [Name of authorized person] to pick up my medications.”

Vaccinations
We offer several vaccines for ages three and up at select SCVH pharmacy locations. Book an appointment at vax.sccgov.org.
Specialty Pharmacy Service
Receive special care for complex or costly medications. Call our toll-free number at 833-543-0744 to talk to the on-call pharmacist anytime, 24/7.
Medication Therapy Management
Our pharmacists can help you better understand your medications, check for side effects, and look for potential drug interactions.
Meds-to-Bed at Discharge
If you are ever sick at the hospital, our staff can deliver medications to your bed before you are discharged.
Medicare Part D Sign-Up & Support
Call 408-977-3503 during your enrollment period for free help choosing the right Medicare Part D plan. We can also assist with diicult insurance issues.
Travel Health (VHC Lenzen Pharmacy)
Our pharmacists can help with vaccinations and medications for travel-related issues like altitude sickness, traveler’s diarrhea, and motion sickness. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 408-792-5200 to schedule a visit.
