On Saturday, November 5, 2016, more than 1,100 adults, and children took to the streets around Cupertino Civic Center to walk, jog or run up to 5K. They walked and ran to raise money for Pediatric services and programs at SCVMC.

According to Julie Ott, Valley Medical Center (VMC) Foundation Event Director, “This was the largest Heroes Run to date. We had 1,100 participants and raised $50,000!”

The event would not be possible without the help of the Santa Clara County Fire Department, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, all the participants, and of course our amazing event sponsors. A special thanks to The Hills at Vallco for once again sponsoring the Kids Fun Run. This year’s event included a timed 5K, the popular Kids Fun Run, the new Hero Dash Obstacle Course, Sheriff’s & Fire vehicles (for picture taking!), and a helicopter that landed with Captain America! Most importantly, money was raised for a great cause

Special thanks to VMC Foundation Event Director, Julie Ott, and the entire VMC Foundation team. Their tireless efforts and dedication in support of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and the community we serve is greatly appreciated.
