Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2024, October 20-26
The theme of this year’s Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is, “There’s lead in that? Learn about sources of lead in consumer products.” Children can be exposed to lead where they live, learn, and play and even small amounts of lead can harm a child’s health. A child with lead poisoning can have trouble learning, paying attention, and behaving. The only way to know if your child has lead poisoning is for your child to get a blood test for lead. For more information, visit www.sccphd.org/clppp or www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/clppb or refer to fact sheet in English and/or Spanish.
- Learn about the Multiple Sources of Lead
Webinar series: For Lead Week 2024, the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch (CLPPB) will address emerging and less commonly known sources of lead within communities. Please join us for free webinars open to the public. For more information, including details on times and registration links, please visit CLPPB’s Lead Week 2024 or scan the QR code on the flyer.
