Valley Health Center Downtown: People are Talking!

It is often said that nothing is more powerful than a personal recommendation when it comes to making choices about where you get your health care. The following letter was posted by a person who recently received care at our Valley Health Center Downtown (VHCD). Congratulations to our care team at VHCD!

Dear Neighbors,

Valley Health Center Downtown Clinic…. this is the handsome 3 story building at the corner of 17th Street and Santa Clara. You may not be aware that it’s now fully open. Here are some things to know:

Anyone can get care here. Most insurance plans are accepted (except Kaiser). Many patients here are on Medi-Cal, but many have private insurance.
Internal Medicine is accepting patients… they have a geriatrician too (specialist in elder care). They encourage you to get care from one consistent doctor.
Pediatrics and Family Medicine are also accepting patients.
Eventually several specialty clinics will open, such as podiatry and optometry.
Pharmacy is open - and gives FAST service because not so many people know about them yet! It’s on the ground floor.
Lab and Radiology services are also available right here.
Flu shots can be easily obtained from October 1st - March 30, 2017. You can come in Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays from 10:30 AM until 7:00 PM. Come to the Lab/Radiology Dept. on the ground floor.
URGENT Care is available 7 days a week from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM. No appointment is needed (or possible) - just walk in. Remember this is not a hospital, so don’t come with life threatening problems. But this is a great resource for common issues. They are located on the ground floor.
There is plenty of parking behind the building - enter on 17th Street. (If you decide not to walk). The only entrances are on the left (west) side of the building as you face it on Santa Clara. You may enter either from the parking area or from Santa Clara Street.

The staff are very kind and welcoming…. we are lucky to have these new neighbors. Drop by and get acquainted!
