The Department of Psychiatry at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center is comprised of about 175 physicians, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and licensed clinical social workers. 

We offer secure inpatient treatment on two units at SCVMC, as well as consultation and liaison services to medical and surgical units at SCMVC. 

We offer 24/7 emergency care at EPS, the county-designated 5150 receiving facility. 

We offer seven-day walk-in crisis services at our mental health urgent care clinic, between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm.

We offer a variety of medication management, case management, and counseling services to adults and children at a number of outpatient clinics located throughout Santa Clara County. 

Access to outpatient services may be made confidentially by your patients at 1 (800) 704-0900. 

All services are provided in the patient’s language of preference, by culturally-competent staff. 

All services are available based on patient need, and regardless of ability to pay.
