SPARK Clinic: PEDIATRIC, DENTAL, and behavioral health for Children and Youth in Foster Care
The SPARK Clinic serves as the primary medical, dental, and behavioral health clinic for children and youth who are presently or were previously in foster care or receiving assistance from the Department of Family and Children Services in Santa Clara County.
At SPARK Clinic, we're proud to offer exceptional medical care to children and youth from foster care, kinship care, adoption, and at-risk backgrounds in Santa Clara County. We see patients from birth until age 21, and provide well-child exams, sports physicals, immunizations, contraception, and same day sick visits. We provide referrals to pediatric subspecialists including cardiology, dermatology, neurology, surgery and more.
In addition to pediatric care, we have a dental clinic located at SPARK, and an experienced behavioral health team. Our dedicated dentists have the expertise to perform routine dental exams, teeth cleanings, routine extractions and fillings, and other services (See Dental). The behavioral health team at SPARK plays a crucial role in ensuring comprehensive care for patients by connecting them with the necessary county and community services. These professionals possess a deep understanding of mental health issues, social services, and community resources, allowing them to assess patients' needs comprehensively. By bridging the gap between clinical care and external services, they facilitate a holistic approach to treatment and support for individuals facing behavioral health challenges.
At the SPARK Clinic we are committed to providing first quality care to children and youth who may have suffered physical and emotional trauma. We will take the time to listen and to understand. Ask us: we will schedule appointments for multiple kids on the same day. We can also schedule future pediatric and dental appointments on the same day.
Insurance: We are able to provide medical, dental and behavioral health services for patients whose MediCal insurance is pending. If you have an insurance question, please ask us.
