Therapy Services
Therapy Services at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Recreation Therapy services provided in our state of the art facilities. Therapy staff are integral members of the clinical team and serve clients across the continuum of care from ICU, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services. We offer specialized care in areas of Burn, Cardiac, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Pediatrics and NICU, Orthopedics and Medicine, and Wound Care.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT: TEAMWORK & OPPORTUNITIES
The Therapy Services Department has an interdisciplinary team of over 170 therapist and support staff. Therapy professionals at SCVMC enhance their skills and education by working with the diverse and challenging cases associated with a major teaching hospital. The Therapy Services Department places a strong emphasis on teamwork and innovation and encourages professional growth and development through experience, experienced therapist peer support and various internal and external programs.
SCVMC Therapy Services is affiliated with over 20 therapy schools providing clinical opportunities for SCVMC therapists to mentor and teach student therapists.
